Jason Voorhess – the exclusive interview!

In conjunction with our midnight screenings of Friday the 13th Part 8 (Jason Takes Manhattan) with the Raspberry Brothers this weekend, we have secured a very exclusive interview with the serial killer extraordinaire, Jason Voorhees. Johnny McNulty, Raspberry Brother, was able to get some time in with busy the masked murderer to ask all the questions we’re dying to hear the answers for…

Q: I heard you had quite a traumatic childhood.
A: Yeah. I mean everyone has their problems, but I drowned at summer camp while all the teenagers who should have saved me were busy having sex. That was a real rough summer. To make things worse, my mom went crazy and took revenge on the counselors. Super embarrassing.

Q: Is that how you got into what you do today?
A: …you know, I never thought about that. But yeah, I think that’s right about the time I developed a burning desire to kill horny teenagers everywhere. Everyone who is really good at what they do has something that drives them, I guess.

Q: How do you feel about being rembered as the remorseless, undead killer of hundreds, mostly children?
A: I have no regrets, man. I’ve gotten to see and do so much. I took Manhattan, I went to space. I got to work with Freddie. I am proud of what I have acheived.

Q: Have you seen the Raspberry Brothers show? How do you feel about them making fun of your movie?
A: It’s actually pretty funny. You can take your work seriously, but you cant take yourself too seriously. There was a time I might have terrorized their neighborhoods and families, but now I can laugh at myself – and let’s face it, some of my mid-career stuff is easy to poke fun at – because what I really care about is getting up the next day and killing horny teens in new and exciting ways.

Q: Have you ever thought about killing hipsters?
A: Frankly, I don’t want to encourage them with the attention.
